The local administration launched the opening of the new Art Museum in Nuoro “MAN”, on 6th February 1999; the creative director is Cristiana Collu. The Museum, a twentieth century building, situated in the centre of the old city, is spread over three floor with a total surface of 600 sqmt. On the ground floor there are two showrooms for temporary exhibitions, the first and second floor will host a Sardinian art collection from 1900, approximately a hundred works of art chosen from the collections of four public authorities: Province, Municipality, Chamber of Commerce, Ept; on the last floor there is a large exhibition area for temporary exhibitions.

The Museum is not only an appropriate venue, most importantly, it has the technological equipment necessary for conservation, illumination and security.
